Hi,
I want to (remotely) burn two devices on one board. I want to do this automatically.

Is is possible to control two BX32P Barlino programmers from one copy of Prog-Express?

Thanks

Malcolm

Hi,

Is is possible to control two BX32P Barlino programmers from one copy of Prog-Express?

Alternatively, is it possible to save the programmer serial number (or port) in the project .pep file? This would allow me to load one project and burn using one programmer, then load another project and burn a different device using a second programmer.

Thanks
Malcolm

Dear Malcolm,

Prog-Express can use up to eight programmers at the same time.

Some new features in Prog-Express version 2 should make the required task possible. The new production mode allows to set the chip, file and option settings for each programmer separately. These settings will be saved in the project files also. With Prog-Express version 2 we are using simple text based project files so you can open them with any text editor and create project files with your own software for example.

André

Thanks Andre,

I am using Prog-Express 2.0.0.4.

I can now read the project file and change the settings for each programmer.

I want to remotely tell Programmer 1 to burn an eprom, next I want to tell programmer 2 to burn a different eprom.

Can I do this yet?

Thanks,

Malcolm

Dear Malcolm,

Please note that you can download the Prog-Express version 2.0.1 already. This newer version contains the updated english manual including the remote control chapter already. The other things we talked about will be fixed in version 2.0.2 (coming next week).

You will be able to program two different eproms with two BX programmers simultaneously with the Prog-Express version 2.0.2. I will write how to do this as soon as the update is ready.

André

Hi again,
Will the following be available:

1) When I start P-E remotely, I want it to NOT automatically load any file. I only want it to load the pep file that I tell it with "open" or "remotefile".

(If there is a problem with the file I tell it to open, I don't want it to run a different one which might be wrong).

2) When I exit P-E, I don't want it to autosave OR ask me if I want to save. Just quit. The present options don't allow this.

(If something went wrong with loading the project, or an operator manages to change something, I don't want it saved back over my good file. Also, I don't want the operator to have to deal with dialogs)

3) Would it be possible to show the name of the currently loaded project file in the window?

4) When I create a project, I can choose the programmer I want to use (of 2). When I open the project, it doesn't select the one I saved but instead connects to the programmer with the lowest serial number.
Not sure if this is fixed in 2.0.2

Thanks again for your help,

Malcolm
